Reflexology rests on the ancient Chinese belief in qi (pronounced “chee”), or “vital energy.” According to this belief, qi flows through each person. When a person feels stressed, their body blocks qi.

This can cause an imbalance in the body that leads to illness. Reflexology aims to keep qi flowing through the body, keeping it balanced and disease-free.

In Chinese medicine, different body parts correspond with different pressure points on the body. Reflexologists use maps of these points in the feet and hands to determine where they should apply pressure.

They believe their touch sends energy flowing through a person’s body until it reaches the area in need of healing.

Reflexology has many benefits including:

  • Reduces Stress and Anxiety
  • Reduces Pain
  • Improves Overall Mood
  • Improve General Well-being
  • Boosts the Immune System
  • Helps Fight Colds and Bacterial Infections
  • Clears Up Sinus Issues
  • Helps You Recover From Back Problems
  • Corrects Hormonal Imbalances
  • Boosts Fertility
  • Improves Digestion
  • Eases Arthritis Pain

Hopi ear candling is an ancient, non-invasive complementary therapy. It’s a technique that involves placing a hollow, cone-shaped tube (or ‘candle’) made of cotton, soaked in beeswax, honey and herbs into the ear canal.

As the candle burns down within the ear a vacuum is created. This vacuum then draws out any excess wax, fluid or debris within the ear canal.

Hopi candling therapy can have many benefits.

  • Induces Deep Relaxation
  • Relieves Stress
  • Revitalises the Body

The use of the candles can benefit with the following ailments:

  • Sinusitis
  • Tinnitus (Ringing of the Inner Ear)
  • Glue Ear (Excess Fluid or Build of of Fluid on the Inner Ear)
  • Hay Fever (or Other Allergies Affecting the Sinus)
  • Overproduction of Earwax
  • Excess Buildup of Earwax
  • Colds
  • Tension Headaches (Build-Up of Pressure Can Reduce)
  • Hopi Ear Candling Can Also Re-Balance the Pressure in the Ear After Potential Disturbances Like Flying.

The vibrational frequencies of sound healing instruments can move through the body down to the cellular structure to induce full-body relaxation and recalibration. The experience creates an environment of “resonance” within the body.

In her book Sound Medicine, Dr. Kulreet Chaudhary refers to our cells as having “antennae-like structures called cilium that receive and respond to vibrational energy fields, such as sound frequencies.”

Everything that has an atomic structure has a vibration. The speed or rate at which it is vibrating is called its frequency. When illness takes hold, at a fundamental level the vibrational resonance of that structure has been compromised, or become “dissonant”. The goal of sound healing or sound therapy is to bring all the systems in the body back to a state of resonance.

Returning to a natural, resonant environment with practices like grounding, hearing and feeling the sound vibrations of nature, or instrumental sounds that reset our resonant frequency, is said to profoundly impact our health, longevity, immunity, and mental and emotional stability.
